How do you find your "experts" to write for the lobby?

I am trying to plan a romantic honeymoon in Italy (June 2009) and I want it all... the culture, charming towns, tropical coast, great food and restaurants, etc. I have close to 200,000 SPG points and I'm ready to redeem them. Is there a specialist that can help me spend my points? What would be the best SPG hotel in Italy? I have done Rome before and don't think it will capture the tropical / beach aspect I'm looking for in a honeymoon.

I just used "the registry" to exchange a week of my time share for a week at the La Jolla Sheraton. As a gold card member will I get any sheraton points for this stay and will I get any special upgrades due to my gold status?

Can anyone explain why so many Meridian or Sherton propertoes do not partcipate in the SPG trewards scheme?? On some occassions it has meant I go elswhere!!
