New York can keep its hot dog carts — LA has its taco trucks. The trucks can be found all over the city (and the rest of California, too) dishing up traditional Mexican fast food inexpensively, from lunchtime late into the night. It's the perfect snack after visiting the bar. While it helps to speak Spanish, most truck workers are bilingual, so don't let the language barrier stop you from experiencing the most quintessential food in the city.
Every Angeleno has their favorites, but the closest to the Sheraton Pasadena happens to come highly recommended: El Taquito Mexicano and its 99-cent carne asada and al pastor tacos.
Our own editor Carly loves La Oaxaquena, which can generally be found on Lincoln Boulevard, just south of Rose in Venice. She's a huge fan of their carne asada, but their burritos and quesadillas aren't bad, either.
