If you're as clumsy as I am when it comes to juggling, this event just might finally convince you to leave it to the experts. From July 14-20, 2008, some of the finest jugglers in the world will converge on Lexington, Kentucky for the International Juggling Festival. The annual event celebrates the talent, creativity, and innovation of jugglers as they demonstrate sophisticated juggling routines and polished showmanship for crowds of admiring supporters. Famous jugglers scheduled to appear this year include Dutch juggling champion Niels Duinker, Casey Boehmer of the legendary Boehmer Family Jugglers, and the Ecole de Cirque de Quebec, whose comical and mystical stylings will delight both young and old. And if you're still game to give juggling a try, there are several workshops that will help you hone your technique, and even teach you the finer points of "joggling," which is juggling while jogging. As if juggling while standing in one place wasn't hard enough. The festival is a short drive from the Four Points by Sheraton Lexington.
