If you enjoy avant-garde entertainment, you'll definitely want to check out the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, the longest running un-juried theatre festival in the United States. Fringe theatre performances are traditionally untraditional, often showcasing new scripts with obscure, edgy or unusual material. True to its fringe roots, the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival features a series of uncensored shows, exposing patrons to performances ranging from mild to wild. Enjoy a variety of shows, from an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland to an extreme improv musical to a Neil Diamond tribute show.

During last year's 12-day festival, over 30,000 patrons enjoyed 77 shows, 243 pieces of visual art and 45 kid-friendly shows. This year's festival will be held May 15 through 26, 2008 at Loch Haven Park, which is located about 15 miles from Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages. For a complete listing of shows, explore the festival site.
