Sheraton Gambia Welcomes First Guests

Assaman%20Bar.jpgThe Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa is officially open for business, having checked in its very first guests on April 5, 2007. Mr. and Mrs. Shah from India were greeted with a personal welcome from hotel general manager Jennifer Buhr and her management team, and enjoyed cool drinks and a soft chorus of "welcome to Sheraton Gambia Hotel Resort & Spa" in the hotel's magnificent lobby. Located in a Baobab grove on a breathtaking stretch of white sand beach, the Sheraton Gambia has 195 guest rooms, including six executive suites and a presidential suite. Guests can enjoy fun and relaxing activities of all kinds. Frolic on the beach or take a dip in one of the outdoor pools, followed by some delicious light fare at Bar A Kuda poolside bar. The Assaman Lobby Bar (pictured) is a perfect place to gather for a drink before dinner at Balafon restaurant, which features a romantic beachfront setting and expertly prepared steak and seafood dishes. After dinner, those who haven't tired of the gorgeous ocean view can relax in the Treetop lounge. The Gambia is emerging as a world-class destination, and the staff of the Sheraton Gambia looks forward to welcoming you.
