Hong Kong's Cable Cars

Ocean ParkMany times, people forget about the radical topography of Hong Kong. The fact that the city is home to 6.9 million souls is amazing given that large portions of Hong Kong are built on the sides of mountains and extremely steep hills. The New York Times took a trip on Hong Kong's cable cars and trams. The new Ngong Ping 360 cable car travels a 3.5 mile route that terminates in a Buddhist monastery. There is also the longstanding tourist attraction of the Peak Tram and a popular amusement park, Ocean Park with its own cable car system. Located near the Peak Tram is the popular Sheraton Hong Kong.
