Sometimes newspaper travel sections answer questions we've never thought of. Like the Washington Post and their list of Easter services with music in Sofia, Bulgaria. In a rare occurence, both the Eastern Orthodox and Western churches are observing Easter on the same date (April 8th) this year. The Bulgarian embassy's Dimitar Mihaylov recommends services at St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the 6th century-constructed Church of St. Sofia or St. Nedelya Church. Sofia has been undergoing a tourism renaissance since the fall of Communism and the city is home to spectacular late 19th century architecture. There is a Luxury Collection hotel in Sofia, the Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan (pictured).
