Drinking and live entertainment is always a great combination. But there are ways to make it even better. Enter the theatre pub. Several pubs in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh have found success by putting on live drama alongside the pints of lager. The King's Head Theatre in London is among the most successful of the lot. It helped launch the career of Hugh Grant and combines revivals of musicals like Peter Pan with a thriving pub. Then there's the Old Joint Stock in Birmingham, located in a converted bank and numerous venues around the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well. For more mainstream theater types, Le Meridien's Cafe Royal is located in the heart of London's West End.
