The opportunity to enjoy fine food and wine in a beautiful natural setting is pleasant enough, but when doing so supports a worthy cause, it's fantastic. That's the situation this year, as the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado celebrates its 25th anniversary by raising funds for Farm to Table, an organization that supports local farms around the country. As USA Today points out, proceeds from the event will go toward promoting sustainable agriculture in 25 cities. The gathering isn't without its star power, either. Some major chefs will be on hand, including Thomas Keller (of the French Laundry in California and Per Se in New York) and Masaharu Morimoto (of Morimoto in Philadelphia), and a highly sought after "cult" wine from Screaming Eagle Vineyards will be available for tasting. The Food & Wine Classic, to be held June 15-17, will feature speakers such as Mario Batali and Giada De Laurentiis, as well as wine seminars and cooking demonstrations. For example, Chef Ming Tsai will lead a seminar called Easy Asian Entertaining, in which he will share the pleasures of Asian cuisine. To truly enjoy a weekend of good taste, book a room at the St. Regis Resort, Aspen to complement the fine flavors of this great festival.
