A fine tip from The Washington Post: while most North American Shakespeare festivals are packing up shop for the season, the Stratford Festival of Canada, an annual event in south-central Ontario, is still in high gear, with several plays in production until Sunday, November 12. Naturally, a number of William Shakespeare's plays will be performed, including Coriolanus, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, and Henry IV (pictured). But plays written by other classic and contemporary playwrights will be performed as well. Tennesee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts, and John Webster's The Duchess of Malfi will all be produced alongside the Bard's work, running concurrently in four different theaters throughout town. And a lovely town it is. Stratford, a short hop from Toronto and not coincidentally located on the meandering Avon River, is a charming town of 30,000 people with an abundance of shops, restaurants, and pubs. Guests at the Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Lakeshore with an appreciation for theater will enjoy taking in a play or two and perhaps a good meal in this charming English-influenced town in Ontario.

Stratford baby Stratford!
I'm definitely going this year, it's perhaps the best theatre in Canada. Lord of the rings? Bah!
This festival is "my precious"!
I also found this link to the Sheraton in hamilton, it'll save you 20% on a wknd stay. Hamilton is super close to Stratford.
