As we all know, vacations and business trips can be exhausting. That’s why it’s so important to stay in a comfortable hotel with plenty on in-room amenities. Thinking along those lines, Starwood Hotels and Resorts has joined up with LodgeNet, the biggest company providing interactive entertainment to hotels. The goal is to bring high-definition broadcast and satellite programming into hotel rooms, as well as offer movies that are still in theatres, which is a pretty luxurious entertainment option. The FCC has required that all TVs built after March 2007 have digital capabilities, and Starwood aims to stay ahead of the curve by mandating HDTV in all its rooms this year.
